Kalev’s series of sweets “Tales of Tallinn” with views of Tallinn has become broader to include a box of chocolates decorated with Lorenz Heinrich Petersen’s historical drawing of the Town Hall provided by the Tallinn City Archives. Similarly to other boxes of chocolates in the series, the inside of the cover of this box bears an interesting tale written by art historian Jüri Kuuskemaa with warmth and kindness. This time his pen has given voice to the proud weather vane Old Thomas who has been guarding the Town Hall tower for over 500 years. The box contains delicious chocolates with almond, hazelnut and praline filling that will melt in your mouth, with their tender core covered with a nice thick layer of chocolate made of natural cocoa butter. The Tallinn Town Hall box of chocolates is a perfect gift for a tourist or a present from locals going abroad, but it will also be a great memento to be given to a local friend with a sweet tooth who values Tallinn’s Old Town and its history.
